History

The restaurant Basils Liberté was founded in 2020, right in the middle of the Covid period—a courageous act during a dark time in our era.

It was born out of passion, a spirit of adventure, but also a love for an often-overlooked region like Abruzzo, our place of origin, which we want to share with you through its dishes and products.

We were offered the opportunity to take over a restaurant on a charming square in Brussels. We already knew the neighborhood, having been co-owners of a nearby pizzeria, “Basils.”

The area is very lively at lunchtime due to the many offices nearby.

In the evening, the challenge was to attract both leisure customers and diners coming before a show.

But we succeeded!

We welcome a wonderful clientele, both at lunch and dinner, made up of many regulars but also numerous passersby drawn to our warm and inviting restaurant.
